Calais – Adeline Jane Lee, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 18, 2017 at Calais Regional Hospital. Adeline was born March 24, 1932 to Sinton and Lottie Davis in Pembroke. She grew up in Charlotte and married Hazen Carroll Lee with whom she raised two daughters.
Adeline was a talented musician, particularly guitarist and song writer. She loved to write music and poems, one of her proudest accomplishments was when her song “Maine” was aired on radio stations across Maine. She enjoyed traveling, cruises and going to the casino with her daughter, Tammy. Adeline was an excellent cook and will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Hazen Carroll Lee; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Lindsey LaFrance and her siblings Floyd, Clayton, Roger, Avis, Charlotte, Violet and Eva.
She is survived by her companion of over 25 years, Roy Knights; two daughters, Gloria Logan and her husband Vern of Riverview, New Brunswick and Tammy LaFrance of Hermon; her three grandchildren, Troy Logan and his wife Cindy of Riverview, New Brunswick, Joshua Logan of Moncton, New Brunswick and Jordan LaFrance of Hermon and two great grandchildren, Dylan and Taylor Logan.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 21st at Calais Cemetery. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
