Perry – Albert Anthony Baniszeski, 94, passed away on Friday, October 02, 2009 at the Calais Regional Hospital. Albert was born in Reading, PA on February 7, 1915, son of the late John and Agatha Baniszeski. After graduating from Reading High School, he went to work for Martin Aircraft in Little River, MD building airplanes during WWII. On February 22, 1941, he married Mary Nangle. Relocating back to Reading, Albert owned and operated Al’s Hardware Store until he worked in freight for Branch Motors. Since the 1960’s, Albert and Mary enjoyed spending their summers on East Bay in Perry. He enjoyed gardening, wood carving and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Albert was predeceased by a granddaughter, Jennifer Gilbert; two brothers, William and John; and a sister, Mary. Surviving are his loving wife of 68 years, Mary (Nangle) Baniszeski; six children, Larry Baniszeski and his wife Shirley of Perry, Barry Baniszeski and his wife Linda of Meddybemps, Bruce Baniszeski and his wife Janet of Fleetwood, PA, Karen Gilbert and her husband Dennis of Oley, PA, Lee Baniszeski and his wife Debbie of Dover, PA, and Susan Hafer and her husband Robert of Sinking Spring, PA; six grandchildren, Julie Celmer of Steelton, PA, Scott Sweigart and his wife Patricia of Oley, PA, Todd Gilbert and his wife Tamara of Mertztown, PA, Traci Baniszeski of Dover, PA, Erin Hafer of Baltimore, MD, and Beth Karsner and her husband Bryan of Odenton, MD; seven great-grandchildren, Jordan Krause, Brandon Celmer, Ravan and Raygan Irwin, Ryan Sweigart, and Corey and Andrew Gilbert; and one great-great grandchild, Jacob Krause.
