Pleasant Point and Indian Brook, N.S. – Alexander Peter Doyle Jr., “Bumpkin”, 28, died unexpectedly in Perry on Saturday, August 2, 2008. Alex was born in Calais on April 26, 1980, Alex was the adopted son of Marie Copage and the late Alexander Doyle Sr. Before auto mechanic school, he was a volunteer and youth support mentor for Mi’kmaq Family and Children’s Services for a number of years. He went to Maine to pick blueberries which he always looked forward to. Alex stayed home usually helping his mother and working on his car. Alex loved moose hunting and fishing. He is survived by his mother, Marie (Copage) Doyle; his biological mother, Ruth Bassett and father George Emery Pinder; sisters, Sheila, Sharon, Indian Brook; Shilyn (Peter), Robin, Daisey, Belinda, Maine.; brothers, Rufus (Laverne), Indian Brook; Anthony, Frank, Adrian, of Maine. Alex had many nieces and nephews; godparents, Tammy Maloney and Bernard Johnson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, August 9, in St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, Indian Brook, Nova Scotia, Father Tom Kurudeepan O.M.I. presiding. Burial will follow in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Indian Brook. Local arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
