Obituary for Alfred Joseph Cormier

Calais – Alfred Joseph Cormier, 68, passed away Friday, December 05, 2014, at Eastern Maine Medical Center with his son, Placide, and brother-in-law John and sister-in-law Maria Goguen by his side. Alfred was born in Gardner, MA, on December 17, 1945, son of the late Emile and Angela (Bastarache) Cormier. He served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard and worked throughout his life as a security guard in Alabama and Massachusetts. Alfred will be missed by many and will be remembered for his kind heart.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a niece, Lena Cormier-Rios. Surviving are his son Placide Cormier of Notre Dame, NB; a sister, Mary Anne Cormier and her husband Edmond of Gardner, MA; a brother Arthur Cormier and his wife Lorraine of Gardner, MA; a dear friend, Marguerite Cormier of Notre Dame, NB; and 2 nephews, Edmond Cormier Jr. and his wife Katie of Gardner, MA, and their son Michael, and John Cormier and his wife Tamela of Gardner, MA, and their children, Damien, Darrien, and Rosabelle.

In keeping with his wishes, burial was private at the Calais Cemetery on December 6, 2014. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
