Charlotte & Eastport – Alfred L. Morang Jr., 68, died October 16, 2016 on his terms surrounded by his grandchildren. Skip was born to Alfred “Grit” Sr. and Marylou (Malloch) Morang on June 1, 1948 in Eastport.
He was proud to have served his country in the United States Army, he served in the Vietnam War and then eventually retired.
In addition to his parents, Skip was predeceased by his son, Alfred “Kip” Morang III and his wife Marilyn Morang.
He leaves behind his daughter, Patricia Graffam and her husband Dave of Levant; son Timothy C. Morang and his fiancé Norman J. Stevens of Pleasant Point; brother, David Morang and his wife Vicki “The best sister-in-law anyone could ask for” of Eastport; grandchildren, Jesse and Regan Graffam of Levant, Rhiannon and Mallory Morang of Eastport and Adam Bailey of Pleasant Point; nephews, Dave Morang Jr. and Dan Morang and their families; the mother of his children, Judi Cleaves and her husband Clayton and Marilyn’s children, Wayne and Lori.
A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22nd at Hillside Cemetery in Eastport. A time of fellowship will follow at Cornerstone Baptist Church, County Rd., Eastport.
In lieu of flowers, just be kind; for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.
