Alice W. Holey

Alice W. Holey, aged 73, peacefully passed at her home on August 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 14, 1951, in Eastport, to the late Joseph and Marie (Barnes) Chevrier.

Alice embarked on her professional journey after graduating from Lynn English High School in Lynn, MA, dedicating herself to the medical field at Lynn Hospital's labor & delivery unit. In 1980, she returned to Eastport to be closer to her family, where she served as a transcriptionist at Pleasant Point Health Center. Later in life, she was employed as a supervisor manager at Walmart.

Alice cherished moments spent by the beach hunting for sea glass and indulging in painting ceramics. Above all, family held a special place in her heart, and she adored the time she spent with her family and friends, particularly her grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Marie Chevrier, her brother Michael Chevrier and his wife Karen, her nephew Craig Chevrier, and her loyal canine companion, Vaya. Alice is survived by her children, Matthew Holey of Bangor, Elizabeth Seeley of Edmunds, and Jonathan Chevrier of Eastport; her grandchildren, Shane Seeley of Perry, Kristin Seeley of Edmunds, Cierra Seeley of Edmunds, and Ashlynn Chevrier of MD, ; her great-grandchildren, Callie, Lucca, and Harbor; her sister, JoAnn Chevrier of Eastport; her special niece, Colleen Laffam and family of Taunton, MA; her nephew, Isiah Chevrier U.S.N; her close friends Suzie, Tammi, Jean, Lisa, and Melissa; and her feline companion, Halo.

Per Alice's wishes, there will be no formal service. Instead, a Celebration of Life will be arranged for a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Mays Funeral Home.
