Cathance Lake – Alice Jean Robinson, 79, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Ross Manor in Bangor. Alice Jean was born in Calais on February 23, 1935, daughter of the late Donald and Bernice (Tracy) Robinson. She graduated from Calais High School, Class of 1952, and worked at St. Croix Paper and Georgia Pacific her entire career, retiring as a Personnel Manager. Alice Jean was an active member of the Quarter Century Club for Georgia Pacific where she helped with organizing many of the events. She was an active parishioner with St. Anne’s Episcopal Church and served on many church committees. Alice Jean loved her annual Apple Fest and always enjoyed having her favorite cousin Arty Harriman home for this event. She was a member of the Cathance Lake Association, quilting club, bridge club, the Cathance Grange, and was always willing to help on many other committees. Alice Jean loved to spend time with her family and friends and enjoyed entertaining at her home on Cathance Lake.
Alice Jean is survived by numerous relatives and friends throughout the U.S. and Canada whom she loved to have visit at the lake and travel to their special events. A Celebration of Alice Jean’s life will announced at a later date. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
