Calais – Amy Jo Flood, 38, lost her battle with addiction on Monday, November 14, 2016. In her earlier years, Amy worked as a CNA in Calais. She loved music, reading and was a very spiritual person. If you met Amy, you would never forget her or the impact she had on your life. Amy was a fun, kind and loving soul with a passion for helping others. She had the ability to make people feel at ease, a person you could talk to and confide in with an unwavering loyalty to those close to her. Amy was always good for a laugh, normally followed with a shock value that only she could deliver, she could always put a smile on your face. She loved her family, especially her three children, Branden, Rylee and Taylor.
Amy was predeceased by her mother, Susan Sabattus; and a niece Abigail Flood. She will be sadly missed by her three children whom she loved and adored, Branden Gillespie, Rylee Bartlett and Taylor Bosworth; her very special grandmother who was like a mother, Betty Moreside; her father Ronnie Flood and stepmother Ann-Marie; two sisters Tonia Lanier and her family, Vanessa Flood and her family; two brothers, Andy Flood and his family, and Trevor Flood and his family; grandparents Ralph and Arline Flood; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Amy’s life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2016 at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. Following the service, a gathering will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2 Park St., Calais.
