They were able to enjoy seven years of retirement bliss until his wife of 43 years, Marion (Mahar) Tkacs, lost her battle with cancer. He never left her side before and after her passing, he would visit her grave daily to be close with her and enjoy the view atop the Charlotte cemetery. He will be reunited again with his wife during a Spring burial, located in Charlotte, Maine, Round Pond Cemetery at a date to be announced. They will rest peacefully together on the hill top that overlooks their retirement home and Round Pond, the lake they shared for so many years. He will be missed by many and never forgotten. He will be lovingly remembered as a hard working and extremely giving man. His death has brought great sorrow and tremendous heartbreak to his family, but his memories and wise teachings will carry throughout our lives.
