Calais, ME- Anna Marie Moses (Cote), age 73, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Ellsworth's Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital. On November 29, 1948, Anna was born to the late Antoine and Hilda (Holck) Cote of Centreville, New Brunswick.
Anna attended Centreville High School. Shortly after that, she met the love of her life, Daniel (Ricky) Moses, at the Riverside Bible Camp in the Spring of 1970. Soon following, they married on August 22, 1970.
Anna was a homemaker her entire life, only working a short stint as a cleaning custodian at the local Calais Regional Hospital. She kept to herself, and she enjoyed spending time at home. However, Anna always looked forward to her daily ride with her husband, where they would drive around town and park at the local bank and shopping center parking lots to watch the traffic pass by while snacking on a bag of chips and drinking soda pop. She would often say that her best years were the present.
Anna is survived by her husband of 51 years, Daniel (Ricky) Moses; her three children, Daniel Moses Jr. (Brandy) of Calais, ME, Danette (Moses) Talbot (Timothy) of Tamworth, NH, Joseph Moses (Kimberly) of Calais, ME, as well as her grandchildren, Kayleb Moses (Cheyenne) of Baileyville, ME, Jadyn (Moses) McCarthy (Bradley) of St. John, N.B., Ryan Moses of Calais, ME, Jacob Moses of Calais, ME, Abigail Moses of Calais, ME, and her great-grandson Landon Moses of Baileyville, ME; and her dear friend Sue Call of Baileyville, ME.
Her two brothers, Steven Cote of Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, and David Cote of Centreville, New Brunswick, and her brother-in-law David Moses of Englewood, Florida, and sister-in-law Debbie (Moses) Hapeman of Davenport, Florida, hold a special place in their hearts for Anna.
Anna was predeceased by many special, loving, and caring family members, her father-in-law Reverend Joseph Moses, mother-in-law Frances (Willey) Moses, uncle Earl Holck, and Grandmother Hazel Holck.
Anna's family would like to thank her care providers, Sally Johnson, FNP-BC, the team at St. Croix Regional Family Health Center, the team at Calais Community Hospital, and the team at Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital.
Visitation will be held from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais, Maine, followed by a Celebration of Anna’s Life at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Calais Cemetery.
