Annemarie Johanna Tatner

LUBEC – Annemarie Johanna Tatner, 94, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 at a Machias nursing home. Annemarie was born in Eilsleben, Germany, on May 23, 1920, daughter of the late Hermann and Elli (Schwieger) Schulze. She was employed as a Post Office Manager in Rochester, NY, and retired to the town of Lubec. Annemarie was a true lover of nature and her knowledge of plants and herbs was extraordinary. She loved to hike with her dog Bella and one of her favorite places was Carrying Place Cove in Lubec. She was a great story teller and fascinated her friends with her childhood stories about her homeland of Germany. She will be greatly missed by all her friends. A celebration of Annemarie’s life will be held in the spring. In keeping with her wishes, her cremated remains will be scattered at sea. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
