Indian Township – Archie J. Lacoote II, 41, passed away unexpectedly on November 9, 2016 in Indian Township. Archie was born on August 11, 1975 to Basil and Grace (Gabriel) LaCoote in Calais. He grew up and attended grade school in Indian Township then went on to graduate from Calais High School. Archie loved socializing with his friends, being outside, fishing with his nieces and nephews and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Archie was predeceased by grandparents, Archie and Leona LaCoote, Lillian Gabriel and Michael Tomah. He will be remembered by his four brothers, Michael LaCoote and his wife Chevy, Basil LaCoote, Daniel LaCoote and his wife Stacey, all of Indian Township and Stephen LaCoote of Gorham; two nieces, Kelsey and Leona LaCoote; seven nephews, Mikey Jr. and Daniel Jr. who were both also his Godchildren, Gabriel, Zack, Bunk, Jonathan and Jordan LaCoote and another Godchild, Alex Tomah Jr.; his close friends, Sam Sockabasin and Richard Stevens, all of Indian Township and his canine companion, Spike.
Visitation will begin 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12th at his home, 9 Route 1, Indian Township until 9:00 a.m. Monday morning. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 14th at St. Anne’s Church, Peter Dana Point. Burial will follow in the Tribal Cemetery. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
