Arline L. Lawless

Arline L. Lawless, 83, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Eastside Center for Health Rehab in Bangor.  Arline was born in Calais on June 24, 1940, daughter of Edgar Hall and Audrey Perkins.

Arline graduated from Calais Memorial High School, Class of 1960, and worked at Jewett Insurance until starting her family.  While raising her children she worked seasonal jobs such as wreath making and blueberry picking.  Arline was a Communicant of St. James the Greater Church in Baileyville.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting.  Arline’s most cherished moments were those spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Arline was predeceased by her husband, John Lawless Sr.; son David Lawless; and a brother Vernon Hall.  Surviving are her five children, John “Jack” Lawless Jr. and companion Sandra Draper of Baring Plt, Tammy Sanford and husband Mike of Baileyville, Brenda Perkins and husband Tim of Rockland, Scott Lawless of Lewiston, and Francis “Frank” Lawless and companion Gertie Damon of Baring Plt; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Mary of MD; brothers Edgar Hall Jr. of MS, and Charlie Hall of Milo; and several nieces and nephews.
