Atlene Estelle Mota

Eastport & Machias – Arlene Estelle Mota, 64, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 10, 2011 at Calais Regional Hospital. Arlene was born in Machias on May 14, 1947, daughter of the late Eugene and Merta (French) McEacharn. She enjoyed playing bingo, going for car rides and picnics. Arlene loved to listen to music and attend the Monday night music events at the local youth center. Every year she looked forward to going to the Anah Shrine Circus in Bangor. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother James McEacharn. Surviving are her two daughters, Danielle Pinnt and her husband Kevin of Burbank, CA, and Stacy LaCharite of Burbank, CA; a son Mariano Mota of Windsor, CA; three grandchildren, Holly, Noah and Xander; a brother Louis McEacharn and his wife Linda Sue; a sister Alta McEacharn, aunts Ida McEacharn and Alice Ward, cousin Melinda Smith, and several nephews. A celebration of Arlene’s life will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Cornerstone Baptist Church – 112 County Road, Eastport. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
