Obituary for Beatrice Lillian Crooker

Beatrice “Bea” CrookerCalais – Beatrice “Bea” Lillian Crooker, 91, passed away on Monday, October 05, 2009 at the Atlantic Rehab & Nursing Center in Calais. Bea was born in Cooper on January 16, 1918, daughter of the late Fred and Ethel (Dodge) Clark. She was a Registered Nurse with Bath Memorial Hospital for many years. Along with her husband Laurence, they owned cottages on Moosehead Lake in Rockwood. Upon retiring, they moved to Sarasota, Florida. Not one to sit around, they owned and operated Larry’s Real Estate in Sarasota for many years. Bea was a member of the Perry Congregational Church and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and being with her family. In addition to her parents, Bea was predeceased by her husband Laurence; her brother William Clark; sister Nellie Clark; and her faithful feline companion Noelle. Surviving are her sister Virginia Walker and her husband Ewal of Robbinston; two nieces, Dianne Jundt of Ocala, FL and Lea Sullivan of Robbinston; a nephew Randy Clark of Ocala, FL; grandnephews Timmy Jundt and his wife Carla of Alexander and Timmy Clark of Ocala, FL; and a grandniece, Desiree Clark of Ocala, FL. A celebration of Bea’s life will be held Monday, October 26, 2009 at the Perry Congregational Church, Shore Rd., Perry. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Cooper. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Homes, Calais & Eastport.
