PERRY – Betty Ann Grattan, 75, passed away peacefully at Eastport Memorial Nursing Home on Sunday, November 13, 2011. Betty was born to Owen and Rose (Adams) Pottle on October 26, 1936 in Eastport. She graduated from Shead Memorial High School, class of 1954 and then attended Washington County Technical College where she earned her Nurses Aid certificate. She worked for many years at Gilford Industries and the Mearl Corporation in Eastport. She also worked as an elderly caregiver for several years. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 29 years, Joseph Grattan and a sister Mary Javernick. Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda Bowen and her husband Rick of Perry; 3 sons, Andrew Ramsdell and his wife Becky of Baileyville, Lester Ramsdell and his wife Diane of VA, and Everett Ramsdell of New Hampshire; 15 grandchildren, Ricky, Christy, Bobby, Brian, Ashli, Michelle, Chris, Emily, Kyla, Amanda, Brittney, Brandon, Dustin, Tia and Justin; 15 great grandchildren, Dustin, John, Kelli, Shauna, Shaun, Trevor, Timmy, Gavin, Sierra, Nate, Ashlyn, Kaden, Kinsee, Kylie and Lilly and a very special friend, Jean Farris. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23rd at Bayview Cemetery in Perry with Pastor Robert Hinton officiating.
