Perry – Bradford Scott Preston Jr., 32, passed away unexpectedly along with is feline companion Dixie in his home due to a tragic fire on Sunday, March 1, 2020. Brad was born in Calais on March 10, 1987.
Brad attended Shead High School and loved the outdoors. He would spend countless of hours exploring nature and four-wheeling, looking for eagle feathers. Brad enjoyed playing video games and listening to a variety of music. Above all, his most cherished times were those spent with his family, his loving mom, Phyllis, Bob and Kayla.
Brad was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Rose Marie “Ma” Kennard; his maternal grandfather Freeman Kennard Sr.; maternal great-grandmother Grace Dana; and his paternal grandfather Frank Preston. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Phyllis and Robert Murray of Perry; his father Bradford Preston Sr. of Dennysville; his paternal grandmother, Lucy Preston St. Hilaire and her husband Gerard of FL; very special sister Kayla Preston of Bangor; niece Nevaeh; two nephews, Trevin and Rhys; many aunts, uncles and cousins; his two canine companions Bella and Bud; and numerous dear friends.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 7th at the Pleasant Point Elderly Meal Site, 15 Elders Way, Pleasant Point and will continue until the time of service the following day. A memorial service to honor Brad will be held at noon, Sunday, March 8th, also at the Elderly Meal Site. There will be no committal. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
