Obituary

With profound sadness, we mark the passing of Brian Clark, who graced our lives with his presence for 48 short but impactful years. Born on September 26, 1977, in Calais, to parents Michael Clark and Kathy (Andrews) Hooper, Brian was a beacon of resilience and positivity, a man who faced life's challenges with an unwaveringly courageous heart and a ready laugh. Brian was a proud graduate of Shead High School's Class of 1995. His professional journey was as diverse as it was fulfilling, taking him from Connor's Aquaculture and Gates Fiber in his early years, to adventurous work on boat construction and preservation along the beautiful coastline from Maine to Florida. Even when life's trials took a toll on his physical abilities, Brian never lost his love of exploration. He was often found hiking around the area, striking up conversations with strangers who quickly became friends, and reconnecting with old acquaintances, his keen wit and infectious humor lighting up every interaction. Brian leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter in the hearts of his family, including his parents, Michael Clark of Calais, and Kathy Hooper of Eastport; his stepfather Ben Hooper; his children, Donavin Clark of Jay, FL and Izzabella Clark of Eastport; and his "bonus daughter" Kristin Tidwell of Eastport who he proudly called his own. His memory will also live on in his sisters, Kendra MacDonald and Alycia Clark of Eastport, and Kelly Lank-Moores of Perry; and his nieces and nephews whom he adored, Deven, Calli, Dan, and Jakoby, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. In keeping with Brian's wishes, there will be no funeral services. Instead, a family gathering will be held to reminisce and celebrate Brian's life at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Mays Funeral Home & Cremation Services. His life was a testament to the power of laughter, the strength of resilience, and the unfailing capacity of the human heart to love and connect. We invite you to share your memories and photos of Brian on his memorial page at www.MaysFuneralHome.com. Let us remember him as he was – full of life, laughter, and love. Your shared stories and pictures will serve as a comfort to his family and friends and as a lasting tribute to his beautiful spirit.
