Obituary for Carol Ann Roehrich

Baileyville – Carol Ann Roehrich, 68, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011 at a Bangor hospital with her family by her side. Carol was born in Rahway, New Jersey, daughter of Everett and Thelma (Neddeau) Wescott. She graduated from Woodbridge High School in New Jersey, Class of 1961. Carol worked as a bookkeeper for Fry Stock Automobile Dealership in New Jersey. On November 16, 1963, she married her love, William Roehrich. They vacationed in Maine and eventually moved to Maine in 1966. Carol started with St. Croix Federal Credit Union in Baileyville until beginning her career as a bookkeeper for Indian Township, where she worked for 32 years, retiring in 2010. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling, gardening and spending time at their cottage on Squirrel Point. Carol was predeceased by her father Everett; and an infant baby Kevin Everett Roehrich. Surviving are her husband of 48 years, William “Bill” Roehrich; her mother Thelma Wescott of Calais; two children, William Roehrich III of Virginia Beach, VA, and Robin Roehrich of Calais; three grandchildren, Daniel and Christina Roehrich of Calais, and David Lee of Cathance Lake; three great-grandchildren, Deean Doten, Trey Roehrich and Caiden Seeley; a sister Pamela Leighton and her husband John of South Princeton; nieces and nephew Mark Wescott of WA, Lisa Race and her husband David of MN, and Lynette Leighton and her husband John and their two children Christina and Kelsi of Lincoln; sisters-in-law Carol Horvath, Susan Navellino and her husband Robert, and Diane Sawyer and her husband Arthur; two brothers-in-law Frank Bechtle and his wife Donna, and Louis Bechtle and his wife Suzann, all of NJ; special friends Larry and Jane Andrews, Dennis and Martha McIntyre, and Donna Melanson; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. A celebration of Carol’s life will be held in the spring at Woodland Cemetery in Baileyville.
