Catherine M. Cilley

Cathy Cilley passed away peacefully at home with her family on Sunday September 10, 2023.  She was born on October 24, 1957, to Loretta Levallee and Robert Smith. Cathy was raised in Uxbridge, Massachusetts, where she met her soulmate, Steven.

After being high school sweethearts Cathy and Steven married June 14, 1975. Shortly after starting their family, they settled in Princeton to build their life together. While working in the Head Start Program, Cathy found her purpose. Being the eldest of 8 children Cathy was a natural nurturer. Cathys love for children has impacted our community for over 40 years. Her greatest passion was opening her own childcare center, Cathy’s Kids. After her career in education, she moved on to the post office where she then retired.

Cathy found enjoyment in reading, especially her Stephen King books, writing music and poetry, solving puzzles, gardening, boat rides, and the nightly time on the porch watching the deer graze with a hot cup of tea. She loved to hunt and fish, almost as much as she loved to be in the barn with her horses. However, of all the joys of Cathy’s life nothing compared to her love and compassion for her family. 

Cathy is predeceased by her son Joshua. She is survived by her husband Steven of 48 years, Her children, Son Tyler and Wife Gretchen, Son Heath and Wife Amanda, Daughter Lacey and Husband Adrian, and son Daniel. Her Grandchildren Torie and Husband Cody, Chelsie, Desaraye, Lucas, Ethan, Jonathan, Sarah and Husband Cody, Wyatt, Cole, Emileigh, and Owen. Her Great-Grandchildren Mackenzie, Everleigh, River, Rowen, Paxton, Her Brother Bobby, and sisters Tina, Sharon, Lori, Meena, Deanna, and Samantha.
