Charlotte Ellen Annas

Calais – Charlotte Ellen Annas, 97, died Thursday, January 12, 2006 at a Calais nursing home. Charlotte was born in Red Beach, July 13, 1908, daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Wilson) Maloney. Charlotte graduated from the Calais Academy, Class of 1926. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Calais and enjoyed gardening and playing Beano. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd Ivan Annas, and a daughter, Darlene Campbell. Surviving are her son, Burton Annas and wife Mary Helen of Calais; five grandchildren, Burton Annas Jr. and Brad Annas and his wife Crystal, all of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, William Annas of Calais, Lisa Campbell of Conn., and Joseph Campbell of Miss.; several great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Carolyn Sprague. A graveside service will be held at Red Beach Cemetery, Calais, in the spring. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais.
