Calais – Chester Allen Quinn, 65, passed away on March 19, 2018 at Calais Regional Hospital. Chester was born in Eastport on December 12, 1952 to Edgar and Margaret (Cox) Quinn. His family lived in Perry where he attended school and, at the age of 15, began working for Newcomb’s Dairy Farm and then Humphrey’s Dairy Farm for the following twenty years. He also worked some in the woods harvesting firewood. Chester enjoyed hunting in his spare time.
In addition to his parents, Chester was predeceased by two sons, Chester and Stanley Quinn; a grandson, Evan; two sisters Carolyn Francis and Shirley Homan and his brother, Philip Quinn.
He is survived by two sons, James and his wife Karen Quinn and Joshua and his wife Aimee Quinn, all of OH; his fiancée Harriet Hachey of Calais; a sister, Patricia Degen of Poland; brother, Richard Quinn of Dennysville; half-brother, Gary Quinn of East Machias; grandchildren Brayden, Mason, Aiden and Bryleigh Quinn and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, May 27th at Clarkside Cemetery in Pembroke. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
