Christopher B Eagan

Calais – Christopher B. Eagan, 60, died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at his home. Chris was born in St. Stephen, N.B. on June 18, 1948, son of the late Ralph “Buffy” and Gail (Murphy) Eagan. He attended the Milltown, N.B. schools and graduated from the Lady Dunn Community College in St. Andrews, where he studied welding. After school, Chris began at The Flake Board Co. in Milltown. He then went to work for the cable company in Calais before starting his career with Georgia Pacific in Baileyville. After the closing of the paper machine, he drove truck for Stanhope Trucking in Robbinston. Chris was a communicant of St. Stephen’s R.C. Church in Milltown and was a former member of the Calais Fire Dept. He was an active member in the St. Croix Lodge #46 A.F. & A.M., where he served as Worshipful Master in 1987 and also in 2009. Chris enjoyed riding his motorcycle, canoeing, kayaking and most importantly spending time with his family. Surviving are his loving wife, Carol (Stone) Eagan; three sons, Sean Egan and his wife Michelle of Battle Creek, MI, Scott Eagan of MA, and Kevin Eagan of Orlando, FL; two grandchildren, Kaylin Phinney and Joshua Eagan; a sister, Teresa Brazier and her husband Dr. Cressey Brazier of Calais; three brothers, Michael Eagan of Montreal, Canada, Peter Eagan and his wife Cheryl of Haverhill, MA, and Timothy Eagan of St. Stephen, N.B.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
