Calais – Cindy Lou Pollock, 52, died unexpectedly Thursday, September 24, 2009 at her home. Cindy was born in Calais on May 20, 1957, daughter of the late Reginald and Phyllis (Sprague) Cline. She graduated from Calais High School, Class of 1975. On May 20, 1976, she married Gregory Pollock in Robbinston. Cindy was employed for over 30 years with Maine Indian Education as a fiscal director for Head Start. She was a Master Gardner and a member of the local gardening club that planted Meridian Park in Calais, and a member of the St. Croix Quilting Guild. Cindy started the costume shop in Calais which she operated for many years, helped her husband start his plumbing business A&E Plumbing, and operated the J.C. Penney Catalog Store in Calais. Her most memorable moments were spent with her husband, children and grand babies. In addition to her parents, Cindy was predeceased by a son, Benjamin Clifton Pollock; and her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Clifton and Olive Pollock. Surviving are her loving husband of 33 years, Gregory Pollock; her two children, Elizabeth Ann Pollock and her husband John Barnard Jr. of Calais, and Adam Pollock and his wife Courtney of Anchorage, AK; two grandchildren, Madison Barnard and Jakson Pollock; sister Paula Hayward and her husband Stanley of Bangor; brother-in-law Gary Pollock and his wife Wanda of Calais; three nieces, Tabitha Stanley and her husband Chris of Harrington, Jennifer Pollock of Bangor, and Kim McLaughlin of Bangor; a nephew, Troy McLaughlin of Moncton, N.B.; her best friend, Marcy Robb of S.C.; and many dear friends.
