CALAIS – Cleveland Harvey Maxwell, 80, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, September 27, 2010 in Calais. He was born in Calais on February 17, 1930 to Cleveland P. and Eva M.(Hatt) Maxwell. Cleveland served in the US Army and married Nancy A. Clement on February 25, 1951 in Calais. He was an active member of the Woodland Baptist Church and had many enjoyments including gardening, making Christmas wreaths and cutting his firewood. In addition to his parents, Cleveland was predeceased by his daughter, Linda Nancy Maxwell and a brother Richard P. Maxwell. He is survived by his wife Nancy A. Maxwell, 3 children Franklin H. Maxwell and his life partner Shelly MacDougall of Alexander, Patricia A. Wood and her husband Stephen of Exeter, NH and Wayne N. Maxwell and his wife Valerie of Somersworth, NH; 5 grandchildren, Nathan Maxwell and his wife Melissa of Alexander, Scott Wood and his fiancée Melissa Brady of Portsmouth, N.H., Alyson Wood of Harrisonburg, V.A., Benjamin Maxwell and Heather Maxwell, both of Somersworth, N.H. and a great granddaughter Prue Maxwell of Alexander. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 2nd at 2:00 p.m. at Calais Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Pine Tree Society, P.O.
