Lambert Lake – Cynthia Pearl Longfellow, 93, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. Cynthia was born in Forest Station on July 5, 1922, one of eight children to George and Hazel (Gallison) Grass. After graduating from high school in Danforth she married her high school sweet heart, Harold Wright. While serving in the U.S. Army during WWII, Harold passed away while in Germany. In the late 1940’s she married Delmar Longfellow. Cynthia was an avid bowler and enjoyed hunting and fishing, and in later years adult coloring.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Harold; her second husband Delmar; a great-grandson Donald Phelps; a step-daughter Ruth Longfellow; son-in-law Robert Dyer; four sisters, Alice, Muriel, Margaret and Marie; and three brothers, Elmont, Horace and Earl. Surviving are her five children, Norma Dyer of Lambert Lake, Larry Wright of Lambert Lake, Darrell Wright and wife Donna of Vanceboro, Ronald Wright and wife Nancy of Alna, and Dale Longfellow and wife Gerada of Perry; a step-son Carl Longfellow of Mumford, NY; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Peter Wilkinson and Washington Place for their excellent and loving care extended to Cynthia.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Keene Farm Family Cemetery in Dyer Township. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
