Calais – Daisy Elizabeth (Ingalls) Annis, 79, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 07, 2009 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Daisy was born on June 7, 1930, in Grand Harbour, Grand Manan, New Brunswick. She was the daughter of Owen D. and Roberta (Wooster) Ingalls. Daisy was a well-known nurse in the Calais area. She loved her nursing career and got great joy from caring for anyone in need. Daisy was predeceased by her parents; three siblings; and her husband of nearly 40 years, Harold Annis. She is survived by two brothers and a sister; three daughters; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a long-time companion. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at the Woodland Cemetery in Baileyville on Friday, July 10, 2009, at 10 a.m. A time of fellowship will follow in the St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Calais. In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to remember Daisy in a special way may make donations to St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, 23 Church St., Calais, ME 04619.
