Dana F. Niles II

Dana F. Niles II, 45 passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack August 7^th at his home in Alexander ME. Dana was born May 29^th 1977 in Calais ME son of Dana and Betty Niles.

Dana attended school in Baileyville graduating high school in 1995; he joined the army immediately upon graduating and served his country for 4 years. After the military he moved back home to Alexander, where he had various jobs over the years, but his passions were gardening and music.

Dana loved spending time with his family especially his son Dana III. Dana had a heart of gold and saw good in everyone no matter what.

Dana was predeceased by his Grandmother Kathleen Prout, Grandfather Roger Davis, Aunts Sharon Bonness and Lynn Roderick, Uncles Keith Prout and Billy and David Niles, cousins Christina and Chad Roderick.

Dana is survived by his wife Kristen Niles of Bangor ME, his son Dana Niles III of Alexander, parents Dana and Betty Niles of Alexander, a sister Tonya Johnson of Calais, a Grandmother Janet Niles of Calais, nieces Parra and Taaliyah Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia, nephew Austin Niles and his wife Josey of Alexander, a special little girl, his great niece Katherine Niles of Alexander, many aunts, uncles, and cousins that he loved dearly.

He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed beyond measures by his family. 

A Celebration of Dana’s Life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais.  Burial will follow in the Alexander Cemetery
