Perry – Daniel Stephen Francis, 74, passed away in the presence of his family on September 29, 2015 at a Bangor hospital. Daniel was born in Calais on November 28, 1940 to Noel and Bertha (Snow) Francis. He spent his childhood at Pleasant Point before moving to Connecticut at age 16, but he eventually returned home where he became very involved in his community and started several ventures as an entrepreneur. Daniel opened an arcade/pool hall for everyone to enjoy at Pleasant Point, he initiated bingo for the elderly that is still going strong today. He ran his TV repair and video rental store in Eastport for many years, before relocating to Perry. Daniel enjoyed salt water fishing, scuba diving, and playing bingo. He was predeceased by his parents. Daniel will be sadly missed by his wife of over 54 years, Theresa (Jurewicz) Francis; his daughter, Beverly Champagne and her husband Tom of Perry; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Kristen and Thomas; four great grandchildren, Danielle, Makayla, Wyatt and Bruin and ten siblings, Marie Mell, Maynard, Carol, John Jr., Maxwell, Philip, Sarah, Linda, Brian and Bennett Stanley, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m., Sunday, October 11th at the Elderly Meal Site, Pleasant Point, until the time of his memorial service, 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 12th.
