David P. Ferris

David Pierce Ferris, 80, passed away suddenly at home, on August 22, 2022.

 

He was born in Hartford, CT on July 3, 1942.  David’s family later moved to Elmwood, CT, where he started his first business, Ferris Auto Body.  He then was employed by the Town of Glastonbury, CT police department and Colt Industries.  He retired to Maine in 2006 with his loving wife, Glenna, and became an owner of Ferris Lakeside Cottages.   David previously volunteered for the Charlotte Fire Department.

 

David was predeceased by his parents; wife, Glenna in 2013; his brothers William and Ronald Ferris and half brothers Earle and John Ferris.

 

David leaves daughter Lynn Mulholland and husband James; daughter Lori Terrio and husband Ronald; his daughters’ mother Winifred Palermino; grandsons Sean Mulholland and his wife Stephanie, Pierce Mulholland, Colin Mulholland and his wife Lucia and their children; granddaughters Katrina Butler and her husband Donovan, Jade Campany, and Rachel Mulholland; his companion Diane Seeley; sister Carol Patulak and husband Michael, several cousins, nieces and nephews.  He also leaves behind his four legged companion, Remington.

 

David was a son, father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.  We must all now honor his passing and make note of all he has given to our collective lives.

 

Arrangements will be private for the family.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations made in David’s name may be made online to the American Heart Association or the ASPCA.  Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
