Perry – David K. Lincoln went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 13, 2010 after a long illness. David was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 2, 1931, son of the late Arthur E. Lincoln and Martha Spinney Lincoln. Due to the hardships of The Great Depression felt especially by people living in the city, David moved with his parents to Perry in 1934. Starting at an early age, David loved to read. He was an Honor student at Shead Memorial High School, Class of 1948, and a graduate of Maine Maritime Academy Class of 1953. Starting in the 1980’s he became employed as a design engineer for the U.S. Navy in Washington DC and Bath Iron Works. The past two years he has been attending the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Eastport and has enjoyed being a “snowbird” with Dale and Elsie in Zephyrhills, FL. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by a brother-in-law Ron MacKechnie. Surviving are his brother Dale Lincoln and his wife Elsie of Perry; a sister Ruth Lincoln MacKechnie of Calais; nephew Dale Lincoln II of Saco; two nieces Carol Lincoln Coffee and her fiancé Dan Faust of North Smithfield, RI, and Diana Lincoln Macomber and her husband Charles and their children Alex and Alyssa Macomber of Plainville, CT; several cousins; and two special friends Kevin and Mary Callahan.
