Debbie was a proud and loving mother and wife. She lived for the holidays, especially Christmas, and cherished spending them with her family. She had a love for the movie A Christmas Story and could not wait until it was time to put up her leg lamp every year and decorate the yard to try and win the town decorating competition. Debbie loved reading and enjoyed ice fishing, riding back roads looking for birds, and all things outdoors. She enjoyed spending time hiking at West Quoddy Head Light with her family. She also enjoyed spending time outside in her garden with her dogs by her side.
Debbie loved taking her two daughters to Roque Bluffs in the summer so they could enjoy time on the beach and swim in the ocean. She also enjoyed taking trips up north to Kendall’s Dairy Farm and seeing all the animals and going out to eat with her “drinking buddy” Robert. Debbie enjoyed all different types of music, and shopping for gifts for her children. Some of Debbie’s most cherished memories were taking trips to Bangor with her children. Debbie also enjoyed cooking and baking for her family on her days off from work. She enjoyed spending time with her father-in-law Jimmy whom she is now reunited with. She always loved to watch him make and learn his secrets for his spaghetti sauce, which was a family Christmas Eve tradition.
Debbie was very fond of her Subway family in Machias where she was known as “The Subway Mom”.
