Calais – Deborah Lynn Pelletier, 57, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 with her two daughters by her side at a Bangor hospital. Debbie was born in St. Stephen, NB on August 21, 1961, daughter of David W. Johnson and Joan (Williston) Campbell.
After attending Schaumburg High School in Illinois, Debbie had a calling to help others in need. She started working at a nursing home in Chicago until relocating to Oak Bay, NB, where she worked for Barnard’s Nursing Home. Debbie went on to work as an Emergency Medical Technician for McGovern’s Ambulance Service in both Calais and St. Andrews. Most recently, she worked at Washington Place in Calais. Debbie was a member of United Church of Canada. She had a passion for reading and enjoyed sewing and watching movies. Above all else, Debbie cherished the time she was able to spend with family the most.
Debbie was predeceased by her beloved Dennis Pelletier; uncle Ray Crone; and her grandparents Esther and Fred Williston. Surviving are her three children, Justin McVay of St. Stephen, NB, Samantha Thomas and companion Ryan Case of Calais, and Brittany Thomas of Calais; her two grandchildren, Nevaeh and Cordelia Thomas; her mother Joan Campbell and husband Lorne of Calais; her father David Johnson of R.I.; step-mother Florence Johnson of Calais; four brothers, Mark Campbell and companion Ashley Worsham of Calais, Jason Johnson and companion Elisha Renaud of Baileyville; Troy Reynolds of Baileyville, and Allen Landry of Baileyville; an aunt, Judy Crone of NC; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A celebration of Debbie’s life will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2019 at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais.
