St. Stephen, NB – Donna Marie Scott, 67, went to be with her Lord & Saviour Friday, February 10, 2012 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton with her loving family by her side. Donna was born in Calais on April 30, 1944, daughter of the late Guy and Martha (Annis) Carter. She graduated Valedictorian from Pembroke High School, Class of 1962. Donna continued her education at Chipman Memorial Hospital, receiving her degree as a registered nurse. She married Harvard C. Scott in St. Stephen on June 25, 1965. Donna worked at the hospital in St. Stephen for many years before starting her career with Lincourt Manor. She retired with over 40 years as a registered nurse. Donna was an advocate of human life and was past president of St. Croix Chapter Pro-Life. She also loved her God and was active at St. Croix Christian Centre, as well as attending bible study and prayer groups. She enjoyed reading, scrapbooking, sewing, knitting, and spending time with her family, most especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her brother Ronald Carter. Surviving are her loving husband of 46 years, Harvard C. Scott of St. Stephen; her three children, Ann Marie Dempsey and her husband Jeff of St. Stephen, Heather Ingalls of Fredericton, and Michael Scott and his wife Sheryl of Ottawa; her sister Deanna Skidgell of Madison, ME and her two daughters Lori and Kelly; her six beloved grandchildren, Emma Marie, Andrew Scott and Joseph Michael Dempsey, Alexandra “Allie” Heather Ingalls, and Katherine Elizabeth and Isabelle Nicole Grace Scott; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. (Canadian Time) Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais, ME. A celebration of Donna’s life will be held 2 p.m. (Canadian Time) Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be held in the spring at Forest Hills Cemetery, Pembroke, ME.
