Doreen Joanne Taylor

Doreen Joanne Taylor, 64, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on July 29, 2013 at a Machias Hospital. She was born in Eastport on April 25, 1949, daughter of Morris and Elizabeth (Coleman) Taylor. Doreen grew up in Calais, attending both the Catholic grade school and then Calais High. She worked many years at Barnard’s Nursing Home in Calais. Doreen loved the company of her family and friends especially all the summer days spent at camp with her parents and her beloved poodle, Pierre. In addition to her parents, Doreen was predeceased by her infant son, Anthony Daniel Taylor. She will be forever remembered by her three siblings, Daniel Taylor and his wife Lila of Calais, Norma Sharpe and her husband Gary of St. Stephen, NB and Mary Greenlaw and her husband Francis of Calais; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00p.m., Tuesday, July 30th at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 31st at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, 31 Calais Ave., Calais.
