Calais – Doris Gertrude Carlow, 89, died on Friday, February 29, 2008 at a Calais nursing home. Doris was born in Leonardville, N.B. Canada on October 10, 1918, daughter of the late Austin and Elizabeth (Mingo) Cline. Doris had a love for the great outdoors and being on the water. She enjoyed row boating and spending time with her family. Besides her parents, Doris was predeceased by her husband, Donald Carlow; her daughter, Bonnie Lee Carlow Moholland; three sisters, Pauline Thompson, Ruth Moholland and Betty Lincoln; and a brother, Reginald Cline. Surviving are two granddaughters, Tina Moholland and Traci Brown, both of Calais; two great-granddaughters, Tori Turner and Bonnie-Jean Moholland; a great-grandson, Brogan Brown; a sister, Virginia Carlow of Robbinston; a sister-in-law, Beulah Cline of Robbinston; a son-in-law, Babe Moholland and his special companion, Sharon Grey of Calais; a very special friend, Mary Small of Calais; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of Doris’ life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais with Pastor Bob Hinton officiating. Burial will follow in Red Beach Cemetery.
