Doris Elaine White

Alexander – Elaine D. White, 58, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011 at a Bangor hospital. Elaine was born in Poplar Bluff, MO, on February 20, 1952, daughter of the late A.E. “Mac” and Betty (Berry) McInnes. She married her childhood sweetheart, William White, on May 4, 1968 in Brunswick, and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Elaine enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Michelle White. Surviving are her husband of 43 years, William White; four children, William E. White and his companion Jeannine of Auburn, Joseph White of Alexander, Michael White of Alexander, and Rebecca Hatt of Alexander; four sisters, Teresa Kay Ross and her husband Howard of AL, Rose M. McKnight and her husband Raymond of FL, Vickie J. Melvin and her husband Billy of FL, and Sandra L. Wilkerson of FL; three brothers, Terrence L. McInnes of Machiasport, Edward Eugene McInnes and his wife Peggy of FL, and Allen Earl McInnes and his wife Angela of FL; nine grandchildren, Billy, Trinity, Katie, Jayda, Ashley, Josh Mary, Marissa and Annelise; many nieces and nephews; and five sisters-in-law, Susan Broderick and her husband John of NC, Mary Lavelle of Littleton, NH, Nancy Joyner of Virginia Beach, VA, Martha Laskowski of Coventry, RI, and Patricia Castillo of North Kingston, RI. A celebration of Elaine’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
