Calais – Douglas Perley Kelley Jr., 40, died unexpectedly Monday, May 12, 2008. Doug was born in Calais on January 12, 1968, son of Douglas P. Kelley Sr. and Dorothy (Nelson) Kelley. Doug graduated from Calais High School and served with the Military Police in the US Army. After his military service, Doug majored in Auto Mechanics at Washington County Community College, where he graduated with High Honors and received the President’s Award twice for scholastic achievement . He enjoyed fishing, camping, kayaking and music. Surviving are his parents, Douglas and Dorothy Kelley of St. Stephen, N.B.; two brothers, Ken Kelley and his wife Lynn of Oak Bay, N.B., and Tim Kelley and his wife Suzanne of Calais; two nephews, Sean and Scott Kelley of Calais; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2008 at the Calais Cemetery with Pastor Karen MacDuff officiating. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
