Calais – Eleanor R. Greenlaw, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 23, 2006. Eleanor was born in Calais, November 16, 1925, daughter of the late Louis and Beatrice (Hall) Keene. She married Melvin Greenlaw on October 27, 1945. Eleanor was a member of the First Baptist Church in Milltown and enjoyed going to church, reading, spending time with her grandchildren, and helping others in need. She was predeceased by her three sons, Ernest, Edward, and David Greenlaw. Surviving are her loving husband of 61 years, Melvin Greenlaw; a son, Gerald Greenlaw and wife Robin of Baileyville; two daughters-in-law, Janet Greenlaw and Linda Bragdon; four grandchildren, Kristen and Rob Smith, Melissa and Dana Johnson, Jarret and Jeni Greenlaw, and Jamie and Irma Greenlaw; a step-grandson, Brian and Amy McArthur; and eleven great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Calais Cemetery with Pastor Bob Hinton officiating. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais.
