Elmer Leeman Stevens III

Bucksport & Eastport – Buddy L. Stevens, 42, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Buddy was born in Eastport on October 20, 1966, son of Elmer Stevens Jr. and Sandra (Avery) Stevens. He graduated from Shead High School Class of 1985 and attended the University of Maine Orono. Buddy spent most of his professional career assisting the disadvantage. He was employed as a Community Support Supervisor with OHI in Brewer. Buddy loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed traveling to warm spots throughout the country. Although he moved from Eastport several times, he loved the town and returned as much as he could. Buddy was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Dottie and Seth Avery; and his paternal grandparents, Beatrice and Elmer Stevens Sr. Surviving are his parents, Elmer and Sandra Stevens of Eastport; two sisters, Tammy Dow and her husband Steve of Calais, and Rhonda Stevens of Eastport; two brothers, Timmy Stevens and his wife Amy of Detroit, ME, and Greg Stevens and his wife Shelen of Weston, OH; three nephews, Ethan, Brandon and Shayne Stevens; two nieces, Stephanie Perry and Abigail Stevens; and many dear friends.
