Elsie Ferne Cook (Mahar)

PEMBROKE – Elsie Ferne Cook, 86, died December 31, 2013 in Lubec with her husband by her side. Elsie was born on July 11, 1927 to Eugene and Olive (Carter) Mahar in Pembroke where she married Colby Cook in December of 1946.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother Carl Mahar. Elsie is survived by her husband of 67 years, Colby Cook; sister, Avis Whorley; brother, Ralph Mahar and his wife Mary, all of Pembroke; sister-in-law, Jean Mahar of Eastport and several cousins; as well as the following nieces and nephews, Linda Augilar, Sharon Bragg, Joyce Tompkins, Eugene Mahar, Brenda Godin, Dennis Mahar, Kenny Frost, Paul Mahar, Pamela Moore, and Ruth Chaffey.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at Clarkside Cemetery, Pembroke. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
