Ernest Clifford Harrington Jr.

Eastport – Ernest Clifford Harrington Jr., 76, died Monday, March 10, 2008 at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. Ernest was born in Topsham on June 19, 1931. Ernest served in the US Army during the Korean War. In 1977, he married Hilda Otto. Ernest was employed in the maintenance department at Bowdoin College for 30 years. He was a member of Sherman Brothers Post #3 American Legion and the Boyd-Smith Post #9779 V.F.W. Ernest enjoyed plowing snow, working on lawn mowers and working in the yard. He was predeceased by a step-son, Eugene Phinney. Surviving are his wife, Hilda of Eastport; a step-daughter, Ellen Arseneau of Eastport; and a step-granddaughter, Victoria McCulloch of South West Harbor. Per Ernest’s request, there will be no services. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
