Indian Township – Felicia Marie Tomah, 27, died as the result of a tragic accident on the evening of April 17, 2021. Felicia was born to Alice Tomah and Frank Socoby on October 6, 1993 in Calais.
Although her life was cut short, she lived each day to the fullest. Felicia will be remembered for her love of nature, the outdoors, and her family, particularly her children. As a child, she spent most days with her grandmother, Charlene Tyrrell. She and her siblings, Adrienne Tomah and Noah Tomah, spent the days after school together playing outside and going for walks. After graduating from Calais High School with the Class of 2011, Felicia went on to enroll at Washington County Community College. When Felicia became a mother, to Natalie and then Ava, she turned her focus to being a mom. She loved to cook with her girls, ride the four-wheeler trails, and relax around a campfire with her friends.
Felicia is survived by her daughters, Natalie and Ava Bushey; her grandmother, Charlene Tyrrell of Princeton; her parents, Alice Tomah of Indian Township and Frank Socoby and his wife Patricia of Milford; three sisters: Adrienne Tomah of Bangor, Emma Socoby of Milford, and Celia Tomah of Indian Township; four brothers: Noah Tomah of Portland, Tristan Hubbard of CO, Dakota Leathers of Milford, and Jaden Sockabasin of Indian Township; many aunts, uncles and cousins; her niece and nephew, Kendall and Ezra and aunt, Celeste Fellows, with whom she shared a special bond; Taylor Bushey of Waite and other close friends including Sasha Lacoote, Brianna Mann, and Shawna McCormick; and her beloved animals, Remi, Big Eyes, Jack, Sampson, Spaz and Max.
She was predeceased by her grandfather, Robert Al Tomah.
Visitation will be held at the Parish Hall, Peter Dana Point beginning at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 24th until noon on Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Kevin Martin at 1:00 pm, Monday April 26th at the Indian Township Bingo Hall with the burial to follow at Indian Township Tribal Cemetery. Funeral attendants are asked to please follow CDC guidelines during these gatherings.
