Florence Marie Cookson

Calais – Florence Marie Cookson, 42, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Sissy was born in Bristol, Connecticut on September 19, 1967. She married Ross Cookson Jr. in 1999 with whom she shared two young daughters. Sissy’s love is and always will be with her children. Sissy was predeceased by her father, Willy Perry Sr.; a brother, Rubinskey Perez; her grandparents; and a nephew Matthew Babb. She is survived by her parents, Harold and Shirley McPhail of Perry; her husband of 15 years, Ross Cookson Jr.; two daughters, Amber and Shelby Cookson, all of Calais; two sons, Rubin Perry of Perry and Robert Perry of Ellsworth; a stepson Drake MacKenzie of Robbinston; a step-daughter Arlene Lawless of Rockland; two sisters, Patty McLeRoy and her partner Dot Francis of Perry; and Shelly McPhail of Ellsworth; a brother, Willy Perry Jr. and his wife Dawn of Pennsylvania; a step brother, David McPhail and his wife Jessie of Perry; her father-in-law Ross Cookson Sr. of Calais; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
