Robbinston - Frances Pauline (Robinson) Chambers, 89, passed away peacefully at her home in Robbinston, Thursday, June 16th. 2016. after a long battle with dementia. Franny was born on March 26, 1926, the only child of Harrison and Helen Kathleen (Clark) Robinson. She attended schools in Robbinston before moving to Cambridge, Ma. where she graduated from high school there. She married Philip H. Chambers on Dec. 26, 1946 and moved to Bremerton, Wa. where they resided for a number of years.
Franny was predeceased by her parents Harrison and Helen; her step-father Oscar S. Enger of Bremerton, WA; and by her husband, Phil, in 2005. She was also predeceased by her two cousins, Naomi (Ingersoll) Perry and Faye (Ingersoll) Merryfield and her husband George. She is survived by her only child, Polly (Chambers) Slefinger and her husband, Alan, of Baileyville. And by her three beloved grandsons, Sean Michael Eagan of Battlecreek, Mi., Scott Philip Eagan of Chicago, Ill. and Kevin Christopher Eagan of Atlanta, Ga. And by one grandson, Joshua Philip Eagan, of Battlecreek, Mi. Also by her sister in law, Muriel (Chambers) McKinley of Eastport. Also by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Franny was a kind and loving wife and mother and will be forever missed by her family. It gives us great comfort to know she is now at peace.
Funeral services for Philip and Frances Chambers will be held graveside at the Brewer Cemetery in Robbinston on Monday, June 27th. at 2:00 p.m. with Father Kevin Martin of Immaculate Conception R.C.
