Perry & Eastport – Frances S. Loring died January 29, 2016 at the Eastport Memorial Nursing Home. She was born in Perry to Ernest and Freda (Newman) Seeley on August 7, 1920. She graduated from nursing training in 1942 and spent her entire career in nursing at the former Eastport Memorial Hospital, later becoming Eastport Memorial Nursing Home. Frances retired at 76 years old after receiving her dietary certificate in 1985 and license in social work in 1986. She was awarded the Boston Port Cane in 2014 as Perry’s oldest living resident and honored by Remember ME in 2015.
In addition to her parents, Frances was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Loring; brothers-in-law, Frederick Loring and Rendell Howard Jr.; nieces, Cheryl Howard Conner and Lynn Ann Howard. She is survived by her sister, Priscilla S. Howard; great niece and nephews, Lynn Ann Conner, Brian H. Conner and Andrew T. Conner and their father, Steven D. Conner.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Restlawn Cemetery in Perry. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
