Eastport – Frances Ruth McCurdy, 91, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Eastport Memorial Nursing Home. Ruth was born in Quincy, MA on February 19, 1928.
Ruth was a Communicant of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in Eastport. For several years she helped her sister, who owned and operated Lila’s Donuts. Ruth had a big heart for animals, especially cats.
Ruth was predeceased by her mother, Ethel McLean Chandler; two brothers, Billy and Buddy; and two sisters, Freda and Violet. Surviving are her sister, Sarah Bishop of Perry; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held in the summer at Restlawn Cemetery in Perry. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
