Baileyville – Frances D. Thompson, 82, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Eastside Rehab & Living Center in Bangor. Frances was born in Detroit, MI on August 12, 1927, daughter of the late Lesley and Irma (Lowe) Thompson. Throughout the years, she enjoyed working in the restaurant business and meeting new people. Frances enjoyed dancing, roller skating and ice skating. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Keith Thompson and Beverly Campo, and her granddaughter, Amber (Gale) Dodd. Surviving are her brother, Wilfred Thompson of Blandford, OH; her three children, Denise Dodd and her husband Chris of Taunton, MA, Doreen Wrick and her husband Brian of Braintree, MA, and Ransome Grant and his wife Kathy of Greenacres, FL; her grandchildren, Matthew and Kelsey Wrick, and Christopher and Shaun Dodd; five great-grandchildren; and special friends Glen Ward and Kandice Munson of Baileyville. A celebration of Frances’ life will be held on Thursday, March 4, at 1 p.m. at the Woodland Manor, South Princeton Rd., Baileyville. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
