Frank Armond Gagner

BaileyvilleFrank Gagner, 48, died unexpectedly early April 26 at his home in Baileyville. Frank was born July 29, 1959 the son of Ernest (Sam) Gagner and Lois Shirley Gagner. In addition to his mother, Frank is survived by his loving wife Vicki and his children: Samantha Gagner Call, her husband Matthew Call, Mercedes McGinley, Ashley McGinley, Chad Michael Gagner and Nicholas Wayne Lawton Gagner. Frank was a brother to Jeff Gagner and his wife Pat Gagner of Baileyville, Janice Beattie and her husband Ross of Sun City, FL., and David Gagner who passed before him. Frank was also predeceased by his father. Frank was the son-in-law of Anne and Wayne Lawton of Bangor, and a brother-in-law to Gail and Emad Ghobar, Susan Leture and fianace Clyde Porter, and Brian Lawton. Frank had many special nieces and nephews. He had a special relationship with his nephew Nicholas Beattie- whom he named his son after. Frank had many wonderful friends who he valued and treasured. Among them was Billy White who taught him to fly radio controlled planes, Shane Phelps who he loved like another son, Jeff Campbell and David Townsend Sr., friends since childhood and Michael Sanford who shared Frank’s love for the radio. Frank was thankful for his wonderful neighbors and friends on either side of him on Summit St. Ed and Adrian Yock and Betty and George Adams. He often said he lived on the best street in the world. Frank was known to many as N1GXW on the ham radio. He had many hours of enjoyment talking to his friends who spanned the globe. Frank will be especially missed on the “Maine Potato Net”. Frank spent his life in Woodland. He had many fond memories of childhood and made lifelong friends. Frank spent summers with his family at their camp on Squirrel Point. He loved to fish and in years past enjoyed hunting with his father and brother. Frank was employed for over 20 years by the Georgia Pacific Mill and Domtar. He worked in the finishing room following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. Frank had a profound love for his country and was a proud American. He was a baseball fan and loved watching the games. Frank could be seen at the Little League field all baseball season watching his son play ball. Frank was a wonderful, kind and loving husband, son, and father. He loved spending time with his children and supported them in whatever they wanted to do. Frank’s children were the pride of his life, and they filled him with joy. Frank will be missed everyday by those who knew and loved him. The world is a better place because he was here. . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Frank Morin 10 a.m. Friday May 2, 2008 at St. James the Greater R.C. Church in Baileyville. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery.
