Indian Township – Frank Joseph LaCoote, 71, passed away July 13, 2016 at a Bangor Hospital. Frank was born on December 13, 1944 to Charles and Mary Thresa (Sacoby) LaCoote in Indian Township where he spent his childhood and later worked many years for the tribe’s public works department.
He enjoyed riding his bike or four-wheeler around town and to work, watching westerns, cooking and had a great love of music. Frank was a very hard working man, he was independent and private yet enjoyed his small group of friends.
In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by three brothers, Gabriel, Raymond and Paul LaCoote and three sisters, Arleene LaCoote, Mabel LaCoote Newell and Vergie LaCoote. He is survived by two brothers, Joseph LaCoote of Indian Township and Cliff LaCoote of Bangor; a sister, Zelda LaCoote and her companion Ronald Babb of Bradford; several nieces and nephews and his special friends, Gary Stevens, Phillip Newell and Junior and Linda Polches.
Visitation will begin 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 16th at The Pines Elderly Meal Site, 85 US Route 1, Indian Township until 10:00 a.m. Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 18th at St. Ann’s Church, Peter Dana Point with Father Kevin Martin officiating. Arrangements by Mays Funeral Home, Calais & Eastport.
